I began my career as a broadcast news producer working for various media outlets from Reuters to CNN in the US and Europe in the 1990s. I earned a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a BS from Vassar College. I left journalism in 2001 for a more stable program management job that allowed me more flexibility in raising my two boys. Throughout the boys' childhood, I struggled with my weight and embarked on on every diet known to mankind.
The pandemic afforded me time to write outside of my day job and I realized how much I missed it. So I threw myself back into the craft and am now actively trying to learn as much as possible about social media. Now that I'm an empty nester, I'm trying to spend more time writing instead of cleaning decades-old dried boogers from the back of our couch.
Now that my partner of 28 years has left, I am focused on healing through spending time with friends and family, and of course, writing.
